Biography
Diego Mantovani is a professor of materials for medical applications, in particular implants for replacement and structures for the regeneration of human tissues and organs. With an engineering degree in bioengineering, and a doctorate in surface modification for medical applications, Diego Mantovani has consolidated recognized expertise in low-pressure plasma surface modification, biodegradable magnesium, iron and zinc-based metals, and vascular tissue regenerative medicine for the establishment and development of advanced in vitro models minimizing in vivo testing.
